Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ruck Plate I really enjoy the size of the Ruck plate as opposed to bricks because I can use a smaller ruck when training and when doing events. It fits nicely in the laptop area or within the inside panel. The one thing that bothers me is that when doing things like bear crawls or another movement that has your ruck tilting angles, the plate moves around and can knock you in the back of the head if you do not pack other 'cushiony' items in there. My suggestion would be to cut a piece of the yoga block to place below and above the plate. I left mine in bubble wrap, but have heard some of the guys tease me about that, so fellas beware if you do that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only way to ruck Was hoping this would make rucking easy. It doesnt. What it does do is concentrate the weight and make it a nicer load to carry. I was an old school brick guy and the plate seems to make life easier but not easy. Make sense? I spent a day or two fonding the right spot and settled on in the laptop compartment with cut down yoga bricks putting the plate at the tipping point of the curvature of my spine. Makes it ride without chafing or causing any issues. Seems to make pushups, bear crawls, and other good living much more manageable. Is it necessary? No, but it makes life easier. If you are serious about goruck getchusome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for training If you are in the military there is a strong chance you have rucked. However what you may dread about rucking is the constant packing of random stuff to weigh your ruck down. I don't know how many times I've scoured through my stuff to find something heavy to weigh it down. That dread for me lead to avoiding ruck marches all together at any cost and I knew that wasn't good. So I bought this simple tool to illivieate that stress and hit the road. This simple plate is probably one of the best tools in my inventory to help increase my rucks both in frequency and in distance! It is a must buy for any soldier and I highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As Promised I have had this plate for several months now and can say I love it. I use it for everything to include training, TDYs and other trips, shopping with my family, and all other practical and odd other adventures. On a side note: I have had issues with bringing this through airport security at major East coast airports. The major concern was the weight of the plate. I voiced my opinion about the weight of an average woman's handbag and that sometimes helps. I even had to check it once since the TSA agents said the item weighed too much and could be used as weapon. Furthermore, I'm looking at purchasing the 45lb plate and skipping the 30lb just to save some money.
