GORUCK-built gear that has defects in manufacturing, materials and normal wear and tear will be replaced or repaired at the discretion of the GORUCK SCARS repair crew. GORUCK-built gear gets better with time and use, and is not meant to be replaced. Therefore, every piece of GORUCK-built gear comes with our Scars Lifetime Guarantee. No proof of purchase required, we can recognize our own gear. We're happy to stitch up any GORUCK built gear that's been burned, shot, slashed or sawed for a reasonable repair charge – or to help you get a new one, if it can not be repaired. Stuff happens and part of our mission statement at GORUCK is Do Right By People and we live by that.

What is covered and what is not covered under my GORUCK SCARS warranty?
Since we don't make our gear out of steel, here are a few examples we have seen come in over the years that would not be covered: Burns, Gunshot holes, Knife slashes, Dog attacks, Damage from using a washers or dryer to clean the gear, zipper issues from excessive abuse. Common sense is not so common but if you take a chainsaw to our ruck then the chainsaw will always win.
What do repairs cost?
Repairs covered under the terms and conditions of our warranty policy are performed at GORUCK's expense. Costs for non-warranty repairs will vary depending upon the situation and we will be sure to reach out to you to discuss cost before going forward with the repair. We will provide you with as many options as possible based upon the amount of work and materials required and the expected end result as we know you love your gear as much as we love making it.
Who is responsible for shipping costs?
GORUCK will cover the cost of shipping the package both ways in most cases. In some instances we are able to send a prepaid shipping label or reimburse you for the cost of shipping. This will be determined by our SCARS tech which they will discuss with you after we take a look at the inquiry.
GORUCK SCARS covers products sewn by GORUCK. If you are having an issue with a 3rd party manufactured item or a smaller item like Sternum Strap or Molle Attachment System, please send us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
