Patch - Rucking for GBF Fundraiser
Rucking For Green Beret Foundation Fundraiser
"Rucking is the foundation of Special Forces training. Green Berets are well versed in shouldering heavy rucks through cities, mountains, jungles and deserts, in war and in peace -- alone when they must, together whenever possible. Rucking requires strength, endurance, and character -- and builds it, too."
- Blayne Smith | 3rd SFG(A), 2007-2009 | President, GORUCK
GORUCK is honored to kick off our second virtual fundraiser of 2017 with the Green Beret Foundation. Donations will go through Java Forever a 501(c)(3) non-profit. GORUCK will publish the donation amount upon completion of this virtual fundraiser.
HOW IT WORKS
Pledge miles & pre-order your patch by November 15th. Your donation amount is based on the distance you pledge to ruck: 5k, 10K, 13.1, 26.2, 50 miles, 75 miles, and 100 miles. You choose the weight (we recommend 20-30 lbs.) and complete the distance whenever you want (you’re on the honor system).
The official hashtag is #RuckingForGBF.
T-shirts are also for sale with all proceeds benefiting Green Beret Foundation (we estimate $15 per shirt).
Patches and tees must be ordered by November 15 and will shipped out in December. Shipping and handling fees for patches cover overhead and the cost of the patch in addition to shipping.
The Green Beret Foundation Mission
The Green Beret Foundation serves the Army’s Special Forces, our nation’s most elite soldiers, by connecting them with the resources they need to succeed in the mission ahead.
We believe Green Berets are our nation’s greatest assets. Every day, we honor our commitment to Green Berets past and present, as well as their families, by connecting them with the right resources to prosper and thrive. Because when these soldiers meet powerful opportunities, our nation’s most elite soldiers become our nation’s best leaders.
