Team RWB Virtual Ruck Fundraiser

GORUCK is honored to kick off our first virtual fundraiser with Team RWB. We have been on a lot of adventures with them and we support their mission to enrich Veterans' lives. Team RWB takes the approach, as does GORUCK, that we as a nation and as a people are stronger together, as part of communities that get out and get active, together.

We’re thrilled to share a note from Team RWB’s Executive Director, John Pinter:

"I am psyched to partner with GORUCK on their Ruck Your Colors virtual challenge!

At Team RWB, we believe that part of feeling purposeful and connected to others is found in challenging ourselves to think big about what we’re capable of. Together, on this challenge, we hope you are inspired to push yourself and celebrate our nation’s veterans while doing it!

When we wear the eagle, we proudly wear our colors - much like the flag, we rally together behind the red, white and blue. Our colors bring us together, not apart. They uplift our communities every day - with passion, with positivity, and in service to others.

So Ruck Your Colors and celebrate their power in bringing us together to build strong communities. See you on the streets!"

John & Jason at the DC Star Course 50 Miler.

Donation amounts were based on the distance pledged to ruck: 10, 25, 50, 75, or 100 miles.

You choose the weight (we recommend 20-30 lbs.) and complete the distance whenever you want (you’re on the honor system). Don’t forget to tag all your social media posts with #RuckYourColors.

Mid October you will be rewarded for completing your miles and all patches and tees will be shipped.

100% of patch revenue will be donated to Team RWB. Shipping and handling fees for patches cover overhead and the cost of the patch in addition to shipping. All proceeds of t-shirt sales will also be donated to Team RWB (we estimate $14 per shirt).

Team RWB Mission

To enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.

We define enrichment as creating quality relationships and experiences that contribute to life satisfaction and overall well-being. The concept of enrichment consists of three core components - health, people and purpose - that comprise a rich life.

  • Health - Creating frequent opportunities for team members to connect through fitness, sports and recreation to improve physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
  • People - Creating authentic connections (defined as genuine, quality, supportive relationships that generate mutual trusts and accountability), reflected in an increased number of close relationships and improvements in teammates’ sense of belonging, purpose, and community engagement.
  • Purpose - Engaging members in meaningful team and community-based experiences such as leadership and service that, beyond physical and social activities, renew self-identity and purpose in life.
