PANTHER

Recent studies have shown that melanistic jaguars in tropical forests exhibit different behavioral patterns compared to their spotted counterparts. Panthers are more likely to live in dense forest and hunt during the day than other jaguars. In the heavily shaded jungle, their black coats confer a predatory advantage when ambushing prey during the daytime.

There are a lot of reasons to like panthers. They’re cool but not flashy, and as a rule we like things that come in black. But maybe the best thing about them is that they turn their biological difference into an advantage. We all play with the cards we’re dealt, so instead of worrying about what we can’t change, make the most of it, and don’t be afraid to get after it when everyone else is sitting around waiting for conditions to change.
