40 Lbs Bulgarian Sandbag

"This is my 1st Bulgarian bag. I've used it everyday since I got it. It's hard to walk past it and not want to swing it. It's top quality. I filled it all the way up with play sand. No leaks so far. I took one star off just because I'd like it better if the sand fill opening on the side was paracord lace up like the GORUCK medicine balls, which I think are the best. The Bulgarian bag is mostly for swings and it gets dropped and thrown about, but not slammed & smashed like the medicine balls so hopefully the zipper won't bust. Overall, I'd recommend this Bulgarin Sandbag."

"I own the #60lb. and #40lb bags. I use them primarily for rucking on a 76 stair outdoor staircase. I have used weighted vests and backpacks on this staircase. The reason why I love these Bulgarian sand bags is because as I fatigue and if I lose my balance I can easily drop them so I don't get injured. I have never had an implement work my core as much as these bags do. Use these bags and you will get an incredible workout. They are constructed well and take a beating. I constantly drop them at the bottom of the stairs when I need to rest. Nothing happens to them."

"Love my Bulgarian sandbag for many reasons and multiple occasions. I highly recommend. I would’ve given 5 stars had the top loop handles been placed symmetrically. It’s probably for the fill zipper but I would’ve switched anything else around besides the symmetry of the loops being perfecting centered on the bag. "Easy to fill. I thought it was going to be more difficult to have the sand settle in the handles to fill but it was no issue and came out to 40lbs exactly."

Not bad, but not great

"The bags don't feel as sturdy as GoRuck's other offerings. They are also a monumental pain to fill to their advertised weight capacities. The 60# bag easily took 45+ minutes to fill, shake, manipulate, rinse, repeat. The 40# bag is annoying to use when inverted, as the sand (when filled to precisely 40#) evacuates the ends and the empty spaces make very poor handles, i. e. doing rows, cement mixers, etc. The velcro seal is also lackluster next to all of their other offerings (of which I own over a dozen). But I suppose it should be fine. All in all, the bags are adequate, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend them over other options. If you're just looking to add weight to your shoulders, I would recommend the standard sandbags. Those are much more comfortable and have a wider range of application. Would I buy these again? I'd say I most likely would. It's nice to have options and variety to keep things interesting."
