THE LEGACY CONTINUES

The MACV-1™ modernized the Vietnam-era jungle boot, and the MACV-2™ continues that legacy with an all-new outsole for unprecedented traction and even more support.

Suitable for the needs of Special Forces soldiers who spend a career on their feet, all over the world, with heavy rucks on their backs. And for all adventurers who are looking to support their feet on long trips, journeys, and in their daily active lives. MACV-2™ is ready when you are.

    Features

    AGGRESSIVE TRIPLE COMPOUND OUTSOLE
Each section of the triple compound rubber outsole is designed to perform a specific function the best it possibly can. The forefoot rubber is formulated for increased grip with deep tread specifically shaped to grab the ground while shedding mud and debris. It wraps around the toes for additional protection against rocky terrain or when doing push-ups. The midfoot is formulated from a rock climbing compound and hardened for exceptional abrasion resistance — ideal for fast roping. The heel is more dense and formulated for extreme durability with an expanded heel strike area that won't break down over time or distance.

    RUGGED MIDSOLE
The new MACV-2™ midsole design wraps around the entire upper providing significantly more stability and maximum support. Support you need for your feet so they’re not smoked after being on your feet all day, whatever you’re doing. Support is foundational to MACV-2™ and makes them versatile — great for combat, traveling, and for people who demand a lot of their feet. The relationship between the EVA midsole and the rubber outsole matters greatly to the performance of the boot - and the combined weight is a major factor in whether you want to wear them or not. At 17oz (34 oz/pair for 6"), MACV-2™ is still lighter than any footwear of its kind, even with the new aggressive outsole.

    NO BREAK-IN TIME
They're ready when you are, right out of the box.

    WIDE TOE BOX
Generous forefoot area lets your toes breathe. Over time and distance during any activity including rucking or traveling, your feet will swell. This extra space reduces the friction that can occur if your feet rub against the insides of your boot.

    IDEAL RUCKING OFFSET
The ideal heel-to-toe drop for rucking. 13mm offset reduces the strain on your achilles (and by proxy your ankle, knees, and hips) and helps to accommodate a natural gait in an unnatural world of asphalt and man-made surfaces.

    PROUDLY NOT WATERPROOF
If rain, sweat, streams, gets in a waterproof boot there is nowhere for it to go. Shielding drain holes are better than waterproof. They keep sand and debris out and repel moisture with every step. They expel water with old fashioned technology that just works - with every step, you push the water out the side of the boot.

    NO SPACER MESH
Spacer mesh is soft, squishy, and feels comfortable to your hand when you touch it. But it’s a trap, literally. The first time spacer mesh looks at any kind of water, your boots get heavier and they stay that way. So we proudly do not use spacer mesh, end of story.

    PREMIUM UPPER Specs + Materials
Hard wearing full-grain Challenge Leather™ (Black) or suede (Coyote) that only gets better with time and use. Paired with 1000D CORDURA® and 2" nylon webbing for added ankle support - debris and rain stay out and your feet can still breathe.

    ANKLE SUPPORT
Suitable for airborne operations and maintains stability and support on uneven ground. Here's how this works. The 2" webbing is sewn into the heel counter. When you lace your boots up with your ankle locked into the heel, the heel counter and the 2" webbing do not pull forward - this is by design. But as you tighten them down, this process locks your heel down and shifts the freedom of flex to the forefoot. Which is where it should be.

SUEDE + INJECTION MOLDED HEEL COUNTER
Premium suede wraps a supportive, injection molded plastic heel counter. This combo stabilizes your heel as the suede leather prevents the kind of friction that causes hotspots and blisters.

    3MM SPEED LACES
Speed laces are 3mm as opposed to standard 5mm. Debris and mud doesn't collect on the 3mm laces like it does on the 5mm, the 3mm rinse off and dry faster, and they're faster to tie because there's less bulk.

    DUAL DENSITY INSERT
Our custom insert uses a dual layered compression foam system that supports your entire foot from heel to toe - including contoured arch support for all 3 of your arches- throughout the duration of your foot strike.

    MACV-2-mid top-Origins

"Have a pair of MACV-1. I wear them every day doing construction on a new home. Very, very comfortable. Was looking for better traction in the back country than the MACV-1 and the MACV-2 checks that box and are just as comfortable. Great construction, fit, performance, value and lightweight. What’s not to like. I’m not sure how well they will hold up over time, but the first pair are holding up fine so far and I’m not so kind on them. Would buy again"

    Nice daily drivers

"Fit well, comfortable, good ankle support and stable. Nice to have a lightweight ankle high boot that isn't black. Only improvement I'd like would be nylon tape finger loops for easier donning. Have a few eyelets that pop loose for some reason and can be popped back. As usual, no issues ordering, quick shipping and tracking worked."

    Loyal customer.

"This is my third pair. I work security so lots of walking and occasional explosive movement. I wore the last pair smooth. Everything else about the boot was good. Those lasted me four years. Expecting the same with these. For them during the 4th promotion. Great value at the sale price. Design has slight changes. They look great. Feel great right out of the box. Love these boots."

Great out of the box, taking time to fully break in the leather

"I've had these for less than a week, and no issues after my first long Rucks and long hikes. I can tell the leather upper is going to take a little bit to break in. Also, that shiny leather doesn't stay shiny for long, so they're now matte black with dust and dirt."

    Jonathan G. (5/5)

    Comfortable and quality boots

"These shine on the trail, great traction on sand and rocks, also not bad for the sidewalk or blacktop. Quality is great and they appear to be built to last as are all my other Goruck products. Money well spent with your company as usual. Fits true to size, yes roomy toe box. All in all a great made boot at a super reasonable price."

    OMG The Pain

"I bought these boots for work/rucking. My old columbia boots have no tread left and I thought these would be a great replacement. I wore them for 4 hours and had to rip them off my feet. No blisters or anything but my feet were aching so bad I could barely take a step without wincing from the pain. I don't know if it's my feet or the boots but they were the most uncomfortable and unbearably painful boots I've ever worn. My feet ached for nearly an hour after taking them off. I was really looking forward to putting some miles into these boots but I'm sorry goruck these were the worst boots I've ever worn."

Why buy a poor comparison to an actual Jungle

"Let's see where to start. . . . . MCRAE still makes the Jungle for about $30 dollars more. They are made of higher quality, they fit better, and MCRAE actually knows the size if their boots. On the last point I wear a 9EE. I have worn military boots my entire life. From Danners to MCRAE Jungles. When I email MCRAE they can tell me directly that their wide size is made to a EE standard. The fact that GORUCK says their wide is anywhere from a E to EEEE shows that they really dont know the measurement of their boots and hope you spend money on them. I was hoping to find a low top Boot to wear more while working than wearing my MCRAEs. I guess I wasted $170 bucks on a sub quality Boot in comparison"

    Amazing boots!

"Cannot say enough good things about these boots. The picture of the beat up boots are my old pair. I have had them over 4 years but the last 3 I have worn them every day for work and put about 5 miles a day on them. They have held up to the abuse and still have miles left on them. Because they were so comfortable and reliable I bought another pair (pics of new boot). When I put them on it was like putting on my old pair. Love the toe room and no break in time for me. These are a quality made boot that will last you for years."

    Best Boots Around

"I've had these for over a year now. They have barely worn down and still look great. The laces are still going strong and although I suffer from plantar fasciitis I do not need any special inserts for these. I've recently used them for testing the Army's new Combat Field Test (CFT) and they've performed exceedingly well. They never felt heavy on the runs and held a stable platform for the other events. I only have experienced two strange minor issues. 1. The tag on the tongue will fray quickly but a butane lighter fixed that in an instant. 2. My boots over time have mismatched on the color and texture slightly (Unfortunately they are in transport to my next training site and I forgot to get pictures) but it does make them look slightly odd. Overall the performance far outweighs the looks in garrison and in the field. If you're looking for a solid, high performance boot that's affordable. Get them before they're out of stock."

    Kevin A. (5/5)

    My second pair. They are

"My second pair. They are comfortable right out of the box. First pair is the 6 in pair I use for work. I’ve put a couple hundred miles on them and they barely look used. The coyote 8 in I just got and have already put a few miles on them but they’ll get plenty. Wide toe box and comfortable well made boot."
