Maybe my favorite bag ever

"Yes is it shaped like a box and its short and wide and you know what its close to perfect. I wanted to offset the airlines need to nickle and dime us all into poverty. The 1000D is surprisingly smooth to the touch or my hands are so rough from doing metal work. So worth it though. If they had these in other colors like a coyote tan or even something out of the ordinary like a plum color like the Baton Rouge one for the Rucker Classic."

Best dimensions

"The best dimensions for EDC. Not to long nor wide, just the right size!"

1826 Blackwater Court

"I’m a proud user of a GR1 26L in Hot Pink, yes I run one. I also have a GR2 40L Throwback and a Rucker 4. 0 25L in Tropic Multi-cam. I was searching for a small weekend/vacation Ruck. With the help of Chat GBT and already headfirst in the GoRuck Eco-system, the Radio Ruck was the best addition to my repertoire. Now I have a small ruck, a work ruck, a travel and a workout ruck. Having the Radio Ruck gets me excited for weekends! I'm so pleased the simplicity of the Radio Ruck and the build quality is 2nd to none. I’m glad I got the throwback, I dig heritage! Thank you, Go Ruck, for checking off all the boxes!!!"

Reliable and Robust

"Still have a few of the original model. The throwback has some additional features. Sits above the belt line and is an adequate size that keeps one from overpacking. It’s reassuring to own equipment that will outlive you. I wish more products were made in the USA."

Perfect EDC and light Travel Bag

"you gotta love 1000d cordura all around i love it, use it every day and fits everything i need and more, ive used it for weekend travel and works great. a bit expensive but you pay for what you get."

Why no frame sheet?

"It’s a great design and dimensions, but why is it the only GR without a frame sheet?"

Perfect EDC Bag

"The Radio Ruck has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of gear—it just works. The size is right in that sweet spot where it’s compact enough to never feel bulky but still carries more than you’d expect. I can load it up with my daily carry and still have room for a book or a light jacket without the bag ever looking overstuffed. The layout is classic GORUCK—simple, tough, and practical. What I love most is how versatile it is. It feels like a proper ruck, not just a backpack, so it’s comfortable when I’m carrying weight. But it’s also small enough to be a daily driver. I can take it to work, use it for travel, or even throw it on for a short ruck without ever feeling like I’ve compromised. It carries flat, rides close, and looks understated, which makes it work just about anywhere. The build quality is exactly what you’d expect from GORUCK. The stitching, the Cordura, the zippers—all bombproof. The Radio Ruck feels like it’ll outlast me. And because it’s a discontinued design, there’s just something special about having one; it feels like a piece of GORUCK history. At the end of the day, the Radio Ruck hits the balance I’ve always wanted: rugged enough to ruck with, small enough for everyday life, and simple enough that it never gets in its own way. It’s one of those bags that just makes sense."

Failure to deliver

"I used to have this backpack when it was first released and re-ordered it when GoRuck recently re-released it from the Archive. I placed my order and was told it shipped but in reality only a shipping label was created and GoRuck had no inventory left. Your product managers must be fuming when you do every thing right to get customers to make repeat purchases and then everything breaks down on delivery."

The best gear I have ever got.

"I have owned a few Goruck gears and the Radio Ruck Throwback is the best ever. Please rebirth the GR1 Throwback once again."

Radio Finally

"Ive been waiting for a radio back in stock. I like my packs to ride high. Great fit. Expect it to last longer than I do."
