CORDURA®

CORDURA® is one of the preferred materials of the U.S. military. It’s Special Forces proven, which is why we’ve trusted this fabric since the beginning and used it to build our original line of rucksacks.

WAXED CANVAS

The use of 10.10oz Army Duck Canvas can be traced all the way back to the mid-19th century. Army Duck canvas is a medium-weight, versatile fabric. It is constructed with an incredibly tight weave of yarn, making it tough and resistant to tearing. The extra layer of wax protects the fabric from the different elements you may encounter, and makes the fabric waterproof, yet allows it to sweat vapor and still not stiffen or yellow over time. It only looks better with age and use.

X-PAC®

Initially developed from high-performance racing sails, X-PAC® is lightweight, ultra-durable, and waterproof–key features needed to withstand the intense forces of the open ocean. We take X-PAC when we head into the most intense environments. It’s reliable enough for sailors whose lives may depend on it, while still being lightweight. And water does not get through this fabric, period. Combined with its high resistance to tears, punctures, and abrasions, X-PAC is an incredibly versatile and dependable material.

RIPSTOP ROBIC®

ROBIC® is the lightest weight fabric we use to build our rucks. It is specifically designed to perform and be used under more severe conditions. ROBIC nylon is up to 50% stronger with up to 2.5x the tear strength compared to standard nylon 6 fabrics. That means it’s hard to break and tough to rip. Additionally, this fabric has a special waterproof coating that will last longer than other traditional PU coatings. All of these features ensure your gear is durable, tear-resistant, and waterproof, all at half the weight.
