"Favorite boots for a couple months. Zipper broke, exchanged when boots became available. Very easy process to exchange for same size. Customer service was very involved and helpful with process."
"I work in construction & manufacturing, and these boots are great but need proper care and maintenance. The side zippers, while convenient, are definitely the weakest part of the boots and failed after 9 months of daily use. Otherwise, these shoes can take a beating, from stepping on nails to have a 200-pound steel bar land on my foot these have held up great. Definitely take care of these though because they'll take care of you."
"I had to comeback and amend my review on these boots. They are now my favorite boots and have replaced my Rockies S2Vs as my favorite boots. Initially they were stiff and I got blisters because my feet slid around. With some break in time about a week or two the stiffness went away and I redid my laces, now these things fit like a glove and now are as easy to don and doff as one too. The only improvement I can make is that sometimes the zipper gets jammed to the small portion of material that connects from the leather to the zipper. They can fix this by using the new zipper that came out that attaches straight on to the leather that way there is nothing to snag on, otherwise these boots are quite perfect. I might buy another pair just in case Go Ruck ever decides to discontinue this one."
"I wear these boots daily, whether it’s on deployment, sitting around the office, or simply working the deck. These boots are awesome! Quick to put on with the zipper, they look good, very light, and very comfortable with the wide toe box. Only critiques I have towards these boots are; they’re a little slippery when walking on a wet deck, and it’s difficult to get the toe box polished with these boots- but still am going to by another pair when my currents wear out. 5 stars"
"I love go ruck boots, I’ve had a few pair. They tend to run bigger in size though. Only reason they aren’t a 5 star is because of the size. They’re a little broken in but a bit loose for my liking."
"I bought this boot specifically because of its prominent selling point being it's wide toe box. I was hoping this would be the closest I could get to a barefoot boot experience in terms of toe splay. This was very much not the case. The low height of the toe box completely negates any thing you gain in width. Even with the insoles removed, it's still not enough space for any toe wiggle. The with is nothing to write home about either. It's better than most in terms of toe-box, sure, but coming from a pair of Reebok Rapid Response in wide. The difference is negligible in terms of width, and the toe box height makes it significantly worse in terms of comfort. The short height of it also causes the boot to be very tight across the top of my foot where the leather stitches to the tongue of the boot. I was hesitant as well before buying these due to the 13mm heel-to-toe drop. I wish I had listened to my gut on that, because it is extremely noticeable and extremely uncomfortable. I can't imagine actually doing any work in these, and due to the strict return policy, I won't get the opportunity to at least attempt it. Despite the prominent light-weight claims as well, I also found these to be noticeably heavier than my Reebok Rapid Response boots. In terms of build quality, the materials here definitely seem to be of good quality, in fact, they are probably the most high quality feeling duty boots I've ever felt. Good leather, good laces good tongue. All good except the zipper. Going from a YKK zipper to this is a noticeable downgrade in quality. Overall, this boot does not live up to its main selling points for me (wide toe box, lightweight, comfortable), and due to their return policy, I can't attempt any sort of real break in on them to see what issues stick and which don't. Oh well. Made in Vietnam as well. While significantly better quality than anything made in China, it is a shame that this brand, like so many others that use American flags, troop support ect. in their branding, still refuses to make their products in the USA. They LOVE the American branding, but simply will not concede to manufacturing it in America. They're content with paying Vietnamese workers dirt, then charging $200 a pair to boost their profit margins as high as possible. That's capitalism baby."
"I love these boots! First pair of work boots I've bought in a long time that hasn't fallen apart within the first few months of use. The jump boot style looks and feels good. The zipper is solid and has held up surprisingly well. Overall great boot!"
"The boots fits and performs well. The only issue I have is the zipper material binds easily. So I'll wear them but for now using my redbacks."
"Super comfortable. Easy to put on. Love them"
"Boot is very tight overall, material on tongue is harsh against shin."
