June 6, 1944—D-Day. The largest amphibious invasion in history. Allied forces stormed Normandy to break tyranny and change the world, at tremendous cost.
In the hours before dawn, the 82nd Airborne Division parachuted in behind enemy lines, securing key objectives and fighting for 33 days without relief. Their courage and sacrifice helped ensure the success of the invasion.
In 2026, GORUCK returns to Normandy for the82nd Anniversary of D-Day. We ruck the beaches, hedgerows, and Pointe du Hoc. We carry weight. We honor sacrifice. We remember why freedom isn’t free.

Every once in a while, he comes up with a half decent idea that GORUCK uses to keep Dan happy. Fueled by Copenhagen, Coffee and pure aggression (staples in 3rd SFG) Dan loves storytime during events and doing anything outside.
