Ruck for the Fallen: The GWOT Memorial Foundation Anti-Virtual Challenge.
Honor the fallen and support the future of remembrance.
This May, join the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) Memorial Foundation for the Anti-Virtual Challenge. We’re calling on patriots, veterans, and supporters across the nation to lace up their boots, load their packs, and ruck 26.2 miles throughout the month of May.
This isn't just a fitness goal—it’s a mission. While "virtual" events often keep us isolated, this "Anti-Virtual" challenge encourages you to get out into your community, share your journey, and pound the pavement in honor of the uniformed and non-uniformed service members who have sacrificed since September 11th.
Why We Ruck
10% of the proceeds from this Anti-Virtual Challenge will directly benefit the GWOT Memorial Foundation, the 501(c)(3) designated by Congress to build the National GWOT Memorial on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Your participation helps us:
-
Honor: Salute the service of veterans and their families.
-
Heal:Create a focal point for reflection on this multigenerational conflict.
-
Empower:Educate the public on the ongoing nature of the war.
-
Unite: Foster and sustain the sense of patriotism that brought all Americans together in the wake of 9/11, and catalyze support for those continuing to serve.
How It Works
-
How to Register: Purchasing the patch will automatically register you for the GWOT Memorial Foundation Anti-Virtual Challenge.
-
How will the Virtual Event work?: During the month of May, ruck 26.2 miles at your own pace.
-
Can I do this solo or does it have to be completed with a group?: You can complete the GWOT Memorial Foundation Anti-Virtual Rucking Challenge by yourself. Although we highly recommend doing it with some friends (rucking with buddies is a lot more fun).
