A MODERN TAKE ON THE M1945 FIELD PACK

Soldiers in the US military have been issued bags since before the civil war. Early on, there were Knapsacks. Rugged, single cavity bags made for long movements. The need for more pockets and organization for quick access to smaller essentials like food, water, and weaponry brought us the M1945 during WWII. It was named after the year it was manufactured and issued. These are the bags that inspired us to develop the M24 rucksack, also named after the year it is manufactured and “issued.”

We took what we loved about this pack: the top load, exterior pockets, and front buckles and carried it over to a modern rucksack. We’ve upgraded the M1945, to the GORUCK standard of extra padded shoulder straps and top handle, the highest quality YKK zippers, streamlined closure system, a bombproof laptop compartment, and more pockets for even more organization. It’s lightweight, low profile for everyday carry, and made from durable Specs + Materials that you can trust.

Features

• Tough to Break, Hard to Rip: Robic nylon is up to 50% stronger with up to 2.5x the tear strength compared to standard nylon 6 fabrics.
• Bombproof Laptop Compartment next to your back is extra reinforced and has a false bottom so that when you set your ruck down, your laptop won't even notice
• Top Loader: Flip up the lid and throw everything you need into the main compartment. Full access to everything while your ruck stands up right.
• Side Access to Main Compartment: Get quick access to the main compartment when the ruck is still over your shoulder from a side zipper pocket.
• Extra Padded Straps: Shoulder straps and top handle are extra padded to carry heavier loads more comfortably
• A removable, hard plastic frame sheet stabilizes the laptop compartment and allows you to carry more weight comfortably
• Top Closure System: Adjustable Fidlock Buckles that cover the drawstring cinch
• Multiple Pockets: 2 internal mesh pockets, 1 internal Main Compartment and 1 Laptop Compartment.
• External Pockets for quick access to gear: 2 water bottle pockets
• Key clip inside of the mesh pocket on the interior of the top lid
