EVENT CADRE: CADRE RAMY

Ramy was first introduced to GORUCK in 2012 while working in Finance in New York City. Through the Challenge and his experience with the Cadre, he started to learn more about the Green Berets. Finding a new calling in his mid-20s, Ramy enlisted on an 18X contract. He spent his military career with the 5th Special Forces Group, and after multiple deployments, his career was cut short due to medical reasons. Since leaving the Green Berets, Ramy has successfully transitioned into the private sector. He is an avid outdoorsman and rucks weekly with his dogs. Leading GORUCK events allows Ramy to share knowledge and highlight the similarities between the Special Forces mission and individuals’ daily lives. For Ramy, being physically challenged is table stakes; the real value is the mental challenge and the learning that comes from it.
