STRIPPED DOWN RUCKING BOOTS THAT FEEL LIKE SNEAKERS

We took our classic MACV-1™ rucking boots and deconstructed them to be as lightweight and immediately comfortable as they can be. They're the most like an athletic shoe you can possibly make a boot.

Features

LIGHTWEIGHT. SUPPORTIVE. PROVEN.
MACV-1™ Hi-Speed is built on the same supportive yet lightweight EVA midsole and all-terrain outsole as our original MACV-1™ jungle rucking boots.

STRIPPED DOWN TO THE BARE ESSENTIALS
No toe caps, no heel cups. 25% thinner suede. Super lightweight and packs down to nothing. The most like an athletic shoe that you can possibly make a boot.

LIGHTWEIGHT EVA MIDSOLE
At under 14oz (28 oz/pair for 6"), MACV-1™ is lighter than any footwear of its kind, ever. The relationship between the EVA midsole and the rubber outer sole matters greatly to the performance of the boot - and the combined weight is a major factor in whether you want to wear them or not.

HIGH TRACTION OUTSOLE
Dual compound rubber outsole delivers versatile performance in any environment, including improved traction on wet and muddy terrain. The forefoot rubber is formulated for increased grip while the heel area is formulated for abrasion resistance and increased durability. The outsole also wraps up at the toes for understated protection against aggressive terrain or when doing push-ups.

NO BREAK-IN TIME
They're ready when you are, right out of the box.

WIDE TOE BOX
Generous forefoot area lets your toes breathe. Over time and distance during any activity including rucking or traveling, your feet will swell. This extra space reduces the friction that can occur if your feet rub against the insides of your boot.

IDEAL RUCKING OFFSET
The ideal heel-to-toe drop for rucking. 13mm offset reduces the strain on your achilles (and by proxy your ankle, knees, and hips) and helps to accommodate a natural gait in an unnatural world of asphalt and man-made surfaces.

PROUDLY NOT WATERPROOF
If rain, sweat, streams, gets in a waterproof boot there is nowhere for it to go. Shielding drain holes are better than waterproof. They keep sand and debris out and repel moisture with every step. They expel water with old fashioned technology that just works - with every step, you push the water out the side of the boot.

NO SPACER MESH
Spacer mesh is soft, squishy, and feels comfortable to your hand when you touch it. But it’s a trap, literally. The first time spacer mesh looks at any kind of water, your boots get heavier and they stay that way. So we proudly do not use spacer mesh, end of story.

PREMIUM SUEDE UPPER
Hard wearing suede that only gets better with time and use. Paired with 1000D CORDURA® and 2" nylon webbing for added ankle support - debris and rain stay out and your feet can still breathe.

3MM SPEED LACES
Speed laces are 3mm as opposed to standard 5mm. Debris and mud doesn't collect on the 3mm laces like it does on the 5mm, the 3mm rinse off and dry faster, and they're faster to tie because there's less bulk.

DUAL DENSITY INSERT
Our custom insert uses a dual layered compression foam system that supports your entire foot from heel to toe - including contoured arch support for all 3 of your arches- throughout the duration of your foot strike.

Tough Mudder Tested. These Boots Are Legit

"I bought these specifically to wear for a Tough Mudder at Fort Carson,Colorado 9/26/2026 and they exceeded my expectations. They went through deep mud, water, climbing, crawling and every obstacle I threw at them. They stayed comfortable the entire event, gave me good ankle support, and I never had an issue with them coming apart or feeling unstable. By the finish line they were completely covered in mud, but the boots themselves held up great. I was especially impressed considering how clean and lightweight they felt before the race. I wanted something that could handle abuse without feeling like a heavy traditional boot, and these delivered. If you’re looking for a boot for obstacle races, rucking, training or anything where they’re going to get beat up, I can say I actually put these to the test. Tough Mudder tested and approved. 5 stars."

Completely exceeded expectations

"Wow. I've never had boots this lightweight, comfortable, and still rugged. During my first week wearing these boots, I put down 26 miles carrying anywhere from 40lbs to 90 lbs. Not a single blister or not spot. I even wore them to work and stood in them for a 10 hour shift. Feet felt great. These truly wear like sneakers and perform like professional footwear. I'll probably use only these boots for as long as thy're in production"

— Joel G. (5/5)

Bad knees ruck

"I have bad knees and arthritis is the least of the problem. With these boots I can now ruck with weight. I am very satisfied with the support the boots give my knees."

— Rodney A. (5/5)

"These are great. I Got them for the tough mudder at Fort Carson, Colorado this last Saturday. Definitely held up to the abuse."

— Carlos (5/5)

No heel cap means instability when I need it most

"I love the boot but no heel cap limits my ability and performance. My heel slips during dynamic running around obstacles and challenging terrain. For moderate workouts or more intense then I use MacV2 with heel cups which gives means support and better performance."

— Jack (4/5)

Almost perfect

"Traction is low, for light trails and pavement. It can work in the off trail but it needs to be not muddy and dry. The durability was a bit low. The sole after a few hundred miles started to let go of the glue. A repair shop was able to patch it somewhat. The sole release started to get bad at 300 miles of trail and off trail use. At this point they sent me a new pair of MACV2. The liner started to fail and i pulled it out. It was cotton and soaked water and was hard to dry. There is no reason to even have a liner. This boot should be made without a cotton liner entirely. Overall a great running boot / light duty boot."

— On S. (4/5)

Finally found good boots to run in.

"Used them today as part as a team boot run into a trail run. They were great. I’ve always struggled finding a good pair of boots to do kit and boot runs in, so I’m excited about these."

— Jack A. (5/5)

Not good for long walks

"Good looking boot, unfortunately not made for long walks. The pain starts at about mile 3. The boots and inserts are not made for comfort. Although the toe box is advertised as wider, it's not. They look good if you're just standing around."

— Ron C. (3/5)

500 more miles

"These high speed boots run a tad smaller than the standard mid top. So far so good. 10 miles on them and there has been zero need for break-in. They're ready to work out of the box. I'll be back in 500 miles for a new pair again."

— Mike M. (5/5)

MACV-1 Hi-Speed - Mid Top

"I love these boots. Super comfortable and supportive in a straight line. They do leave a little to be desired in the lateral stability department when walking along a slanted hill. Overall they are great! I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a lightweight, comfortable, and durable rucking boot."

— Justin P. (4/5)
