Our Jerry Cans were constructed to fit perfectly in a Rucker. The 45LB Jerry Can fits in both the 20L Rucker and 25L Rucker, the 55LB Jerry Can fits in the 25L Rucker. You can even add plates to increase your weight. It will feel sturdy on your back and it’s perfect for travel since you can take it with you on the go (empty), fill it up, use it inside of your ruck, and pull it out when you’re ready to do some suitcase carries.
3 Interior Chambers
We added interior chambers to our Jerry Cans to prevent bulges and distribute your load evenly. This keeps your gear from rounding out and preventing it from hitting the sides of your legs during suitcase carries. Not only will you stay in shape, but so will your gear.
Double pass stitching at every seam (this requires two passes with a sewing machine) and box stitch reinforcement at the handle, plus Ballistic Nylon reinforcements are added for extra abrasion resistance on high impact points.
Velcro Throat Closure
We duplicated our velcro closure on our Sand Kettlebells and made it work for our Jerry Cans. The throat acts as a funnel to easily take out or add sand to your equipment, while the velcro closure ensures that the sand stays in.
Sit-ups are known as the gold standard for assessing core strength. Basically, the thought is the more sit-ups you can do, the more “rock hard” your abs will be. But have you ever thought about how this old-school exercise could actually be harming you in the long run?
“The weight of a jerry can can carry many different references. Maybe the weight means something different to you than it does to me. It can be something relative to your profession, your personal life, or a competition. The idea is to improve your life and build upon the abilities you already have. To develop and encourage fortitude in everyone who chooses to carry the weight. At GORUCK, we accept the impossible with open arms. It is in our DNA. We will provide the weight, but you have to carry it.”
