Rucking has been around for over two million years. Our bodies evolved to efficiently carry weight back to the tribe. The Rucker is the greatest and most comfortable rucksack ever built. Though many imitators exist now, it has no equal.

Reviews
Definitely improved
"GoRuck continues to deliver the best in class for rucking! I've had an older version of the Rucker that'd served me well over many miles, so I jumped on the chance to pick up this new model as soon as it dropped. The extra padding in the improved lumbar support definitely makes a positive difference, and I love the easier/quicker access to internal pockets that the new magnets (replacing the Velcro) provide. Well done!"

RUCKING FOR IIH
"I have a neurological condition called IIH and rucking has become my main form of cardio and really the only way for me to get cardio done without the head pressure getting bad. I upgraded my ruck to the 5. 0 and I love it! It took about a week for the bag to break in and settle. I add motorcycle straps with carabiners for handles when rucking. Overall it's a 10/10 and"

Great investment!
"I purchased a coyote 25L Rucker 4. 0 and my wife chose a black 15L Rucker 4. 0. Both fit us perfectly (I’m 6’3 athletic build and she’s 5’3 petite) and they look great! Durability is top notch, and with the SCARS warranty, I feel at ease using these rucks as intended. If you’re new to rucking or just looking for a better solution to throwing dumbbells in an old backpack, look no further—this is your ruck! P. S. I used this in tandem with my GR2 40L while traveling/flying. My 25L Rucker 4. 0 worked great as a personal item, and my GR2 40L was a fantastic carry-on. No complaints from the airlines and I was able to secure my MacBook and iPad Pro in the two plate compartments."

Night and Day
"I tried rucking in the past using another pack and a weighted plate. Found it to be very uncomfortable and gave it up for other things. I was hesitant to pay the money for the Go Ruck pack but bit the bullet and decided to give it a try. It is definitely worth the money and it is like comparing night to day in terms of comfort and performance. Started with 20# weight and will move up to 30 over the next couple of months. Absolutely love how it feels and highly recommend for anyone that wants to walk with a weighted pack."

Great purchase!
"I can’t express how much I enjoy rucking. I walk at a state park nearby. I get 300 feet of elevation change over 4 miles. It takes me approximately 1 hour. Phenomenal workout. Right now I am rucking with 55lbs and I find the shoulder straps don’t dig at all, the back pad is perfect, but the chest strap makes my left pec sore after a bit. I often walk with it unbuckled. I purchased a kidney strap. It is necessary. I want to start taking longer hikes but I don’t have the time. I can see myself rucking into my 60s"

Great bag to get out and go.
"Bought from the mention in The Comfort Crisis by Michael Easter. It's been excellent. I've started exploring my town on foot, and it has been a treat motivator for getting out and moving. Comfortable, blends in, and is great for slow but steady fitness."

Spreading the Ruck
"I have been using a Rucker 4. 0 since March 2025 and love it. I have purchased 2 Rucker 5. 0s for friends in my neighborhood who have asked about what I was doing when they’d see me rucking in the neighborhood. I feel like the Pied Piper for rucking in my neighborhood. Keep making solid gear and providing solid information about how to use it."
— Stephen B. (5/5)
"This thing is built like a brick latrine! From the materials, to the stitching to the zippers, this product is well made to withstand the workout rigor. 30 years ago in the Army, rucking was part of my job. At 50, I have added it back to my workout routine. So glad I did. Glad to be a part of the GoRuck Nation."

The Ultimate Training Partner
"the GORUCK 5. 0 is an absolute tank, the durability is insane, it looks incredibly sleek, and it's honestly so comfortable even when you pack it full of heavy weight."
— Elian J. (5/5)
Best backpack I have ever owned.
"This backpack is comfortable and durable in the right places. I can see a lot of thought put into what is added and what is taken out of conventional designs. The cost is justified in my mind because lots of reinforcement is needed to securely mount weights and to withstand the swaying in rucking. The simplified pocket design are also appreciated as someone who has a hard time finding what I need in a backpack. This is my old backpack that was falling part under 30 lbs. and this is my new ruck."
