Most waxed canvas hats look great if your goal is a casual stroll on an easy day, but fall short as your adventures get sweaty or God blesses you with the opportunity to ruck through a new city in a downpour. We took the classic 6-panel heritage profile, stripped away the useless fluff, and rebuilt it from the ground up to endure relentless weather, heavy mileage, and real abuse.

Crafted from heavy-duty 10 oz USA-made Martexin Original Waxed Canvas, this hat repels rain while you earn your patina one step at a time. We eliminated the top brass button because nobody needs a rivet digging into their skull under hearing protection or a heavy pack, or if your kids pound you in the head with their fists, again. Choose between a slick, no-Velcro front or our classic 2"x3" hook-and-loop field so you can run your morale patch of choice.

Underneath the rugged exterior, an antimicrobial, moisture-wicking sweatband ensures high-output comfort without holding onto salt or odor. Hence performance.

  • 10 oz USA-made Martexin Waxed Duck Canvas: Weatherproof, highly abrasion-resistant fabric that breaks in over time without losing structure. The patina is yours to earn.
  • "No-Squatch" Flat Crown Construction: We removed the traditional top button to eliminate pressure points when wearing headsets, ear defenders, or when you find yourself under attack from your kids, or someone else’s.
  • Slick (No Velcro) and 2"x3" Velcro Patch Field Options: Rucker’s choice. Slick for a more discreet look, or add the morale patch of your choice. The Patch Panel comes with a removable GORUCK debossed leather patch.
  • High-Performance Sweatband: Fast-drying, antimicrobial interior band wicks sweat away from your eyes and dries fast in the sun. We ditched the cotton twill found on other canvas hats because we don’t like our sweatbands getting soggy, and you don’t either.
  • Reinforced Leather Closure: Low-profile leather adjustment strap with a custom matte-black steel slide buckle that won't slip or snap.
