FEBRUARY #RUCKINGCHALLENGE: MILE-A-DAY
Let's talk about February. It's going to be 1 rucking mile per day, for all 28 days straight. Hide the Miles. Every week, you have to add more weight (you pick) to your rucksack. So choose your Week 1 weight wisely.
Consistency is key, although we understand things happen. Miss a day and you have a circuit of rucking PT to do before or after your next mile.
The patch you’ll earn is FREE, all you have to do is ruck the miles.
Participating in the Monthly #RuckingChallenge and the patch you earn upon completion is FREE. You’re just on the hook to invite 3 friends who might like to ruck with you for all or some of the miles. Whether they do or not is up to them, you can still earn your patch regardless of their participation. Sign up and enter 3 friends below to get started.
If you’re an experienced rucker, this is a good opportunity to introduce a friend to rucking. Don’t worry, we won’t scare them off with pics of hydro-burpees in a frozen pond or anything, yet. That comes after they earn their Mile-a-day #RuckingChallenge patch, of course. After you sign up, we will send a pdf to track your miles with and the punishment PT that will come if you miss your miles.
Ruck a mile each and every day, starting February 1 and ending February 28. You’re on the honor system so you can track your miles however you’d like. Be sure to coordinate with friends or your local Ruck Club because rucking is always better with friends.

JANUARY: Resolution Ruck

WHAT IS RUCKING?
RUCK•ING [VERB] Walking with a weighted rucksack (aka backpack). Rucking implies action, energy, and purpose. Rucking is the foundation of Special Forces training and can be done at any weight. Learn more about rucking here.
WHAT IS A VIRTUAL RUCK?
A virtual ruck is a rucking event that you do on your own time, at your own pace, anywhere you want. We recommend you find some friends or a local Ruck Club to share your miles with.
WHAT DO I NEED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE?
You only need 3 things to start rucking: a ruck aka backpack, some water, and your weight. When in doubt, start with 20 lbs. It’s better with friends and dogs and you can do it anywhere with anyone no matter their ability, or yours.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Participating in the #RuckingChallenge and the patch you earn upon completion is FREE. All we ask is that you invite 3 friends who might like to ruck with you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T FINISH MY MILES?
You're on the honor system so that part's up to you. Claiming your patch at the end of the challenge is completely FREE, but you'll know if you didn't finish and that's no way to start 2019.
DO MY FRIENDS NEED TO FINISH FOR ME TO GET MY PATCH?
No, your friends do not need to finish their miles or even sign up for you to earn your patch. We just know rucking is better together and want to encourage you to spread the good word.

WHAT’S A CADRE?
GORUCK Cadre are rucking experts. They are all decorated combat Veterans of Special Operations who have served America, and Americans, honorably across the globe. Rucking is the foundation of Special Forces training and Green Berets are well versed in shouldering heavy rucks through cities, mountains, jungles and deserts, in war and in peace -- alone when they must, together whenever possible.
