Jack of all trades and master of all
"These boots are super-comfortable and robust. They have a professional appearance without compromising on what you can do with them, whether hiking or training or running. I’ve have another pair of GoRuck boots that are also amazing after seven years, and I have no doubt these will last a very long time, making them an outstanding purchase."

MACV-1 Travelers in Alaska
"Currently traveling through Alaska for work, 6 flights, 1500 miles of driving, walking through the bigger cities and small towns including some icy/ slush trails because it’s impossible not to seek out adventure up here. My Travelers are 1. Breaking in nicely and 2. Keeping my feet happy and secure. Thank you!"

Great Old School Quality
"About me: I am a 31 year law enforcement professional. I'm 6'2" 260 lbs. , and wear a 13-14 shoe. The MACV-1 Traveler is a really nice pair of well constructed boots. The fit and finish are superb. I was immediately impressed with the leather quality, stitching, and out of the box comfort. They also polish up well. I opted for size 13 after reading other reviews that described the MACV-1's suppleness and it's wide generous toe box. I've been enjoying them paired with quality merino wool socks. The MACV-1 Traveler is so nice that I will be purchasing another pair very soon as a backup pair."

Look good, but OUCH!
"These boots look great but they definitely need a lot more breaking in than advertised. I wore them around doing errands for a few days and had no issues. Then I decided to try them for rucking (which I normally do in Danner hiking boots). After one mile, I had one of the worst blisters of my life. . . and I'm an endurance trail runner so I do not say this lightly. They seem more fashion than function, but hopefully they will still work for walking around in the city with a laptop bag. I like the other things I've purchased from this brand but I can't recommend these."

Bring back MACV-1
"I was too late for the MACV-1’s when I found GoRuck. I have the MACV-2’s and the traveler’s. I must prefer the travelers when rucking on paved road. The MACV-2 lugs are too aggressive. These boots are well made and can hold up. I wish they would make them with canvas (MACV-1s). Only issue is the pull tab. They break."

Toe box too narrow
"The quality of the material is excellent; however, the toe box is too narrow. I wore them to work once, and they caused significant foot pain that lasted for two days. Unfortunately, I’m no longer eligible for a return under the policy. I removed the insoles to see if that would make them more tolerable, and it seems to have helped somewhat."

Very happy with them. Should’ve
"Very happy with them. Should’ve bought them sooner."

10/10 recommend
"I’ve worn a lot of boots in my years as an LEO and these boots surpassed my expectations out of the box. Durable, comfortable, and minimal break in time!"

5/5 Stars – Perfect Uniform Shoes That Punch Way Above Their Weight!
"I picked up the GoRuck MACV-1 Traveler boots specifically to wear with my police uniform, and they’ve exceeded every expectation. They look incredibly sharp and professional—sleek, low-profile black design that blends seamlessly with duty gear without screaming “tactical boot. ” No bulky vibes; just clean, polished lines that make them appropriate for on-duty wear. Out of the box, they fit perfectly—no break-in period needed. The comfort is insane: supportive cushioning and breathable enough for long shifts. I wear them 8+ hours a day, 5 days a week on patrol and my feet stay comfortable with zero hot spots, blisters, or fatigue. They’re lightweight yet durable. I love them so much that I’m already planning to grab another pair (or the similar MACV-1 Hi-Speed or a pair of V2s) for rucking and training —highly recommend!"

Get off the fence and into these boots.
"To start: Customer service is on point. Wore the OG MAC-V's while in the infantry and have had no regrets, got the MAC-V travelers for an armed security gig and boy. . . Just buy these please. You'll feel like John Wick when you put them on. Unless you NEED a taller upper shaft or other work requirement spec, etc. , just get these."
