Forever Oscar Mike
"Adding the hip belt was a definitive game changer when it came to rucking heavier weights, especially in the 80 to 100 lb rucks. At near 60 years and 165lbs, I like to ruck at least half my body weight for 3 miles a few times a week, as well as training for Deka Fit Ruck events."

My back and shoulders actually
"My back and shoulders actually felt better after rucking 5 miles today with the hip belt attached. Was able to attach my other accessories as well to the hip belt. Picture doesn't show the hip belt belt but my smile shows it all after I did the 5 mile ruck."

Good but sizing isn’t quite right
"The belt is nicely built and it does help offload some of the shoulder weight. I’d give it a higher review but the sizing is off. I’m 5’10”, 155lb, wearing it on a Rucker 4. 0, 30 or 40 lbs, & my waist, measured at belly button is 35”. According to sizing, that would be sz large(>32”), although I thought the tag on my belt listed standard as the size. The belt is as tight as I can get it but it doesn’t fit tight. The belt attachment to the pack is a compression fit. One side came loose on my first ruck. Will continue evaluating however a snap down seems like a more secure design."

Misses the mark…
"Ergonomically the belt fails to sit at a physical location where it truly benefits. I’ve tooled and retooled the setup, and it just doesn’t prove beneficial to distribute or transfer the weight of the ruck ideally. Set up was a mess for such an ineffective design. Pretty disappointed."

Great belt, just not my size
"Craftsmanship is great, just like my ruck. Only problem i have run into is my midsection is too big for small size and too small for the next size up. I bought the larger size so it fits loose with no way to make it tighter unless I gain weight. Not the fault of the belt, I am just an in between size."

Works fine
"Works great holds the weight flat against my back and not moving from side to side. I feel like it should be part of the backpack right from the start not an accessory. Seems like a money grab"

Good Add on for Additional Load or Longer Rucks
"Overall very good. Did 8 miles, 60 lbs, 1200 ft gain on Saturday with the hip belt and chest strap. I was knackered but my shoulders weren’t killing me. Did experience some exterior ankle pain from the high load and change in angles due to the hip belt. Undoing the hip belt and shoulder carrying the pack helped and allowed me to finish the hike. The belt itself was very secure on the pack—installation video was great. It’s not going anywhere. I also bought the chest strap to distribute load horizontally but did not use it much because I had installed it too high and it was difficult to install lower without tools while on the trail."

Excellent add-in to the Rucker.
"Excellent add-in to the Rucker. Relieves pressure on lower back by efficiently transferring weight to the hips. Wish there was a zipped pocket to put keys or something."

worth the weight
"This took a while to come back in stock, but it makes a huge difference. High quality (as expected), fits as expected, and when worn correctly, it takes much of the strain from your shoulders, so much so that you almost don't notice the weight in your low back at all. Huge upgrade, and a must-have for pushing higher weights."

Disappointed
"I’m returning this product. I’m not a tall guy (5’ 10”). I attached the hip belt to my GR-1. The belt sits WAY too high. Just under my ribs. I moved it down one notch on the MOLLY webbing, and it’s still too high, just above my navel, a few inches above my hips. It’s a good idea, and I had high hopes, but it just doesn’t work. Full disclosure: I did not fully use it, just tried it on, adjusted, and tried it on again. Can’t return it used though, and I can tell it sits too high, so I removed it and did the return process. I love GORUCK packs (I have 3), but they just aren’t belt compatible. I ordered a different (belt compatible) pack for longer, heavier rucks."
