In 2018, nearly 700 of you gathered near Georgetown Waterfront Park for the first-ever 50 Miler City Ruck in DC. We stepped off at 9PM on May 17th — and the skies immediately opened up. Torrential rain turned it into the legendary Immersion Star Course. If you were there, you remember soaked boots, heavy rucks, and hunting for public bathroom hand dryers just to stay warm. It was gritty. It was chaotic. It was unforgettable.
We’ve been back every May since. This year we’re bringing it back bigger and better — same iconic miles, plus on-site partners, activations, challenges, cold beers, and the kind of community that makes it all worth it. It’s our kind of fun.

HERE’S THE DEAL If you’re looking for the fitness party and community all around all the time, the DC City Ruck Weekend General Admission pass is for you. If you want to add some miles before or during the weekend, choose your distance and get after it.
All City Ruck passes include weekend General Admission access. The weekend kicks off with a free Capital Ruck Shakeout on Thursday.

9pm - 50 Miler City Ruck kicks off (open to all to send them off, we’ll party beforehand while they’re getting ready)
Saturday May 16th - CITY RUCK WEEKEND
6am - 26.2 Miler
9am - 12 Miler (our most popular distance)
9:30am - 5K - (then roll right into the weekend festivities)
11am - 6/7/8pm (or until the last beer is gone and good luck with that)
10:00 - MOTHERUCKER 5K (Be sure to purchase a Ruckapalooza ticket to join the after party)

How it works:
A GORUCK Cadre will give you the waypoints that comprise your route
You'll have time for some quick route navigation before stepping off
Ruck it solo or with friends - up to you!
Refuel anywhere you want along the route
When you successfully complete your City Ruck, your Cadre will hand you a cold beer and a patch that will never be for sale
