Triple Locking Velcro Closure

Simple Sandbags have a triple locking velcro closure system, which is an upgrade from our previous versions with only a double closure. This ensures sand will definitely not escape.

Superior Construction

Double pass stitching at every seam (this requires two passes with a sewing machine) and box stitch reinforcement at the handles, making our exercise sandbags stronger than any other on the market.

Heavy Duty Padded Handles

Competitors either fold webbing onto itself or they rubberize the handles. Our handles are the best on the market because we take the time to reinforce neoprene padding into every handle we build. This provides a more secure, and comfortable grip that you can hold longer. Webbing digging into your hands should not be the reason you have to drop your sandbag, but when handles are webbing only, it will be. And when handles are rubberized, they get slippery when wet and over time, the rubber breaks down and to us that's unacceptable. We prioritize the handle construction so much because we believe they are the most important feature on the sandbags since you grab them with your hands every time you use them.

Upgraded, Interlocking Seam

Simple Sandbags seams are sewn up the middle with a French style seam that has 3x the stitches as our previous sandbag filler bags. It uses an interlocking system of fabric and seams to make sure that the sand does not escape. The seam up the middle also alleviates any previous pressure points. When you toss a sandbag and it lands, all the pressure of the sand pushes outwards. Speaking more practically about our testing, we dropped these off our 45 foot office building and they’re just fine.

"Sandbags are a great way to level up your fitness training. This thing is perfect. Very ruggedly built, super nice handles and the hook/pile tape seals are very secure. Squats, carries, lunges, rows, presses or really any other exercises are made more effective with a Simple Training Sandbag. Go Ruck, I'm thinking this is may be the worst sales model ever because I just don't see this thing wearing out or failing, ever. In all seriousness, its a GREAT investment."

"I understand they are called “simple“ for a reason but it would be outstanding if there was a second set of handles to change hand positions for more exercises. With that said, as with most GORUCK gear, the quality is top-notch and you aren’t going to find better or tougher."

Great Multi-Purpose Sandbag

"For the past couple years, I'd been using 70lb bags of tube sand to weigh down the exercise gear in my garage gym and throw in my truck bed when roads get icy. I finally decided to upgrade to GoRuck 100lb Simple Training Sandbags and I am thrilled that I did. Not only do these do a superb job of counterbalancing my squat rack and heavy bag stand, but I can also easily pick them up and use them for bent over rows, squats, deadlifts, carries, and maybe lunges one day. Can I put 40# of sand in the 60# sandbag? I'd like the option of going down if I need to.
Yes you can, but the sandbags generally performs best at or close to their listed weight
can a larger bag be underfilled and used safely, to work up to a heavier weight?
This largely depends on the exercise, but generally you can under-fill the sandbag and work up to a heavier weight, although the sandbag will perform better when completely full.
