50 MILE VIRTUAL RUCKING CHALLENGE
The best part of GORUCK is the people and this is how we’re starting off 2019. By rucking 50 miles in 15 days, beginning New Year’s Day. This is the inaugural #ResolutionRuck, a virtual rucking challenge open to all. Unlike a gym membership you won’t use come February, this is a great way to meet new people, connect with friends who also like to get outside (if it’s cold, bundle up — you’ll be OK), and join a community doing awesome stuff together year round.
The patch you’ll earn is FREE, all you have to do is ruck the miles.
Participating in the #ResolutionRuck and the patch you earn upon completion is FREE. Sign up below to get started.
The only way for your local rucking communities to grow is for more of your friends to give rucking a try, with and because of you. This virtual ruck is a great opportunity to introduce new friends to rucking (wherever they live) and start the year off strong. If you know anyone who might be interested, enter their email address below. We'll email them one referral email and a couple introduction to GORUCK emails before the #ResolutionRuck starts. If they don't want to participate they can unsubscribe at any time, no hard feelings. To be clear, your patch is not dependent on your friends' participation. If you do the work, you earn the patch. If they also earn the patch, though, that's a win for everyone.
Signup is closed, stay tuned for another virtual rucking challenge next month. If you've completed your miles, go to this page to claim your patch.

A virtual ruck is a rucking event that you do on your own time, at your own pace, anywhere you want. We recommend you find some friends or a local Ruck Club to share your miles with. You can also join official #ResolutionRuck Facebook event page to connect with other ruckers online.
WHAT DO I NEED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE?
You only need 3 things to start rucking: a ruck aka backpack, some water, and your weight. When in doubt, start with 20 lbs. It’s better with friends and dogs and you can do it anywhere with anyone no matter their ability, or yours.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Participating in the #ResolutionRuck and the patch you earn upon completion is FREE. All we ask is that you invite 3 friends who might like to ruck with you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T FINISH MY MILES?
You're on the honor system so that part's up to you. Claiming your patch at the end of the challenge is completely FREE, but you'll know if you didn't finish and that's no way to start 2019.
DO MY FRIENDS NEED TO FINISH FOR ME TO GET MY PATCH?
No, your friends do not need to finish their miles or even sign up for you to earn your patch. We just know rucking is better together and want to encourage you to spread the good word.
WHAT’S A RUCK CLUB?
The mission of GORUCK Ruck Clubs is to inspire, promote, and support rucking and strengthen communities through rucking. A club in your area may be anything from a gym to a local crew, but all with the same goal - smiles and miles. Find your local Ruck Club here.
WHAT’S A CADRE?
GORUCK Cadre are rucking experts. They are all decorated combat Veterans of Special Operations who have served America, and Americans, honorably across the globe. Rucking is the foundation of Special Forces training and Green Berets are well versed in shouldering heavy rucks through cities, mountains, jungles and deserts, in war and in peace -- alone when they must, together whenever possible.
