THE RUCKER IS A GYM ON YOUR BACK
Make sure the weight is stable and high up on your back. That’s timeless advice for all ruckers, whether you’re a beginner or an expert. We designed and built the Rucker so that it would be the best rucksack for rucking, and it is. And we added bottom handles so it would be the best for Ruck PT and GORUCK Events, and it is.
Here’s some of the fun you can have with your Rucker:
- Rucking - moving with weight on your back. When in doubt, start with 20 lbs. It’s better with friends at your local Ruck Club (beers at the end are highly recommended).
- Ruck PT (physical training) - working out with your Rucker. The bottom handle turns the Rucker into a gym on your back (no membership required).
- GORUCK Events - these are rucking based, led by current and former Special Forces Cadre, and are designed to challenge everyone from beginners to the best endurance athletes in the world. Ruck hard to train up and you’ll do great.
We’ve seen plenty of people over the years focus on what they can’t do, or can’t do yet, as a reason to do nothing. The trick is to not plan to do everything all at once, the trick is to get moving and see where it leads.
FROM OUR FOUNDER
The first Special Operations Forces truth is this: Humans are more important than hardware. We live by that at GORUCK. If you’re new to rucking, new to our gear, you don’t need to buy a new backpack, or a new rucksack to join our community. Put some weight on your back, in whatever you have, and go for a walk. To become more physically and socially active, to do some cardio even though you hate to run, to join an active community of ruckers all over the country and the globe — it all starts with your first steps. Rucking is better with friends, and you’ll find a lot of them at your local Ruck Club. If eventually you want to invest in the best rucking gear, GORUCK is The Rucking Company and you’re in the right place. People are the best part of GORUCK and the best time to join our community was ten years ago. The second best time is right now.

BUILT FOR RUCKING & THE GORUCK CHALLENGE
The GORUCK Challenge was born in 2010 to serve as proving grounds for our gear before it went to war. 1,000 Events/year, 175,000+ participants and 200+ Special Forces Cadre later (with no end in sight), the Challenge is the only and most significant quality control program of its kind. No other gear is consistently put through more abuse, and The Rucker thrives.
Padded Handles for Ruck PT
All sizes of the Rucker have a padded top and bottom handle. The 25L has 2 additional side handles making your ruck versatile for any workout and ready for any abuse you put it through.
Hip Belt Integration
Hip belts allow you to rest (more of) the ruck’s weight your hips. When attached, it needs to rest over your hip bones. That means you’ll likely have to lower the ruck on your back. Over significant time, distance, and varied terrain with heavy loads, these are useful, as this technique can provide a break for your upper body and disperse the weight entirely to your lower body. The 20L & 25L Ruckers have side MOLLE that is perfect for use with a hip belt. The 15L doesn't have side MOLLE, but is small enough that you won't need a hip belt and it would be more of a chest belt.
Elevated Ruck Plate Pocket
The Rucker® securely holds 20 LB and 30 LB Expert Ruck Plates® high on your back.
Optimized for Hydration
The rucker is equipped with an internal D-Ring to clip in your hydration bladder and an exit port for your bladder tube is found under the top handle of the ruck.
